Take “No” As A New “Yes”
A mindset to conquer the fear of rejection
When I was young, I thought “No” means rejection. Rejection means I can’t move forward anymore.
For example, if a teacher says I’m not qualified for being a team leader, I would be very frustrated and never try again.
But things are not always the same!
When I start to work, I realized that the adult world is not as simple as black and white. The “No” can be a new “Yes”!
💡 Don’t take a No as No, just a “not yet”
Remember “No” is just a “temporary decline”. It’s not permanent.
For example, you are turned down by a job offer. 99% of the applicants would be frustrated and move forward to another job application.
However, if you write a “thank you” email after the rejection and consistently send simple greetings on holidays or follow the recruiter's LinkedIn. So they can remember you and contact you once there is a job opportunity.
Don’t give up so quickly. Chances are everywhere as long you as actively looking for them.
